A licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) is needed to provide specialized therapeutic services within an elementary school setting in Mechanicsville, MD. This contract position covers the current school year, offering the opportunity to work with young students in need of occupational therapy support. The role involves managing caseloads across four elementary schools with one OT position available.
Location: Mechanicsville, MD
Setting: Elementary Schools
Duration: Contract through the current school year (ASAP June 9th)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, approximately 7:15 AM 3:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student development
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document student progress
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to creating inclusive learning environments
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Maryland Occupational Therapist License (MD OPT) is required
- Experience working with children in a school-based setting is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy strategies to meet diverse student needs
